Let us help you

Tongue Tie

When the tissue under the tongue is too short or tight, it can limit tongue movement, causing problems with oral functions. Some people may have minor issues, while others may face significant health challenges.

sleep

Sleep disordered breathing (SDB) encompasses a range of breathing abnormalities from noisy breathing, snoring, to obstructive sleep apnea. These conditions can lead to fragmented sleep, daytime fatigue, and a variety of serious health issues. Tongue ties and mouth breathing can contribute to SDB.

Mouth Breathing

Chronic mouth breathing can impact facial development, sleep quality, and overall respiratory function. It also triggers your brain to be in “fight or flight”, increasing cortisol levels in the body. Learning proper nasal breathing is essential for maintaining optimal health and well-being.

Teeth Clenching & Grinding

Often occurring during sleep or periods of stress, it can lead to various complications, including tooth damage, jaw pain, and headaches. This can be related to other issues such as sleep apnea and elevated cortisol.

Tongue Thrust

If the tongue protrudes forward between the teeth during speech or swallowing, this can lead to misalignment of teeth, difficulty with eating, and digestion. Identifying and addressing tongue thrust early can help prevent long-term and costly complications.

Muscle Tension & Strain

When certain muscles are incorrectly overused, it can lead to strain and discomfort in adjacent muscles. Learning to establish strong brain-body connections to isolate muscles of the tongue and face can help prevent overuse of the neck and shoulder muscles, reducing tension and pain.
